Why Accounting?
Prior to joining Janney & Associates, I worked in both banking and public accounting. I am very passionate about general business and accounting, and I am currently studying to sit for the Uniform CPA Exam. Becoming part of the team at Janney & Associates will allow me to “perfect” my accounting skills and gain real-world experience that will hopefully translate to a CPA license. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to begin a new chapter in my career at Janney & Associates.
I have an Associate’s degree from Motlow State Community College. I also hold two Bachelor’s of Business Administration degrees from Tennessee Technological University. I completed the first in 2017, majoring in Finance and the second in 2021, majoring in Accounting.
What experience do you have?
I have experience in both banking and public accounting. I spent approximately three years in banking and a year in public accounting. I have experience in bookkeeping, taxes, reconciliations, and auditing. Throughout my professional career, I have learned many skills that are important in any profession, especially accounting. I am excited to be able to add to my experiences with this position.
Tell us about “Young Jagger” and what you are up to now.
I grew up in McMinnville, Tennessee and I still live there today with my wife and dog. We are excited to welcome our first child in October 2022. I am a graduate of the Class of 2012 at Warren County High School. My wife, Gabi is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Pioneer Pediatrics, in McMinnville. We enjoy traveling (especially to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida), playing tennis and golf, spending time with our family and friends, going to sport events and concerts, and watching movies.
